Derek began his career in the automotive industry, where he developed a strong operational foundation while managing three Firestone Complete Auto Care stores. After years of leading teams and running high-volume operations, he decided to apply that same discipline and drive to residential construction. In 2018, Derek joined Perry Homes to learn the homebuilding business from the ground up. He quickly stood out for his ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across trades and stakeholders, and deliver homes efficiently.

Derek was promoted to Project Manager and went on to close 92 homes in a single year while managing two communities—an achievement that reflects both his pace and his commitment to execution. Following his success at Perry Homes, Derek was recruited to join Bridge Tower Homes as Director of Construction by a former VP from Perry Homes, further cementing his reputation as a leader who can scale operations and deliver results. Derek is driven, loves building homes, and—by his own words—loves to go fast.

Derek earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas Tech University in 2011. Outside of work, Derek stays busy coaching two little league baseball teams and loves taking his boys fishing whenever he can.
